Terms of Service

The rules for using Zazo as a listener or creator.

Who we are

Zazo is operated by Voltaire Technologies LLC (“we”, “us”). These terms apply to anyone who visits or uses Zazo.

Using the service

Listening is free and doesn’t require an account. You may create an account to like songs, follow artists or upload music.

You agree not to misuse the service: no scraping, no artificial plays or clicks, no attempts to manipulate rankings, and no interference with the service’s operation.

Accounts

You’re responsible for activity on your account. Sign-in links are sent to your email; keep access to it secure.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or our policies, including under our repeat-infringer policy.

Content

Creators keep ownership of what they upload. Uploads are governed by the Creator Upload Terms.

Listeners may stream content for personal, non-commercial use only. Downloading, re-uploading or redistributing content is not permitted.

Content rules

These apply to everything on the service: songs and their lyrics, titles, cover art, artist names, handles, bios, profile pictures and banners. Not allowed: nudity or sexual imagery in any picture; sexual content involving minors; hateful content attacking people for who they are; real threats or harassment aimed at someone; graphic gore; telling people to harm or kill themselves; and uploads that aren’t music, such as rants, pranks, recorded calls or ads.

Songs can be about anything people make music about, including violence, guns, drugs, sex, depression and suicide. Swearing and sexual, violent or drug-related lyrics are allowed, but the song must carry the Explicit label. Explicit songs show an E next to their title, and any signed-in listener can turn on “Hide explicit songs” in the account menu to leave them out of the home feed, playlists and radio.

We check uploads and profile changes automatically, and a person reviews borderline results before or after they go live. We may remove content that breaks these rules and close accounts that break them repeatedly. Automatic checks make mistakes: if something of yours was refused or removed by mistake, contact us.

Rankings and reach

We decide which songs appear in recommendations based on listener behavior. We don’t guarantee any level of reach, plays or placement.

Paid features

Pro is an optional monthly subscription for creators. It renews until cancelled. Cancelling stops renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the paid period. Prices may change with notice.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and limit our liability to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

Changes

We may update these terms. If changes are material, we’ll notify you before they take effect.
